When shifts usually run

Most commercial sites want cleaning outside trading hours, so early-morning and evening shifts are common, with one-off deep cleans booked around closures.

Before you book

• Agree with other tenants or your landlord which shared areas are yours to clean.
• A written specification, even one page, makes the first shift faster.
• If the site has an alarm, decide whether the cleaner is given a code or met by a keyholder.
• You approve the hours each week before you are invoiced.
