How it works
What happens at each step, from your first price to paying the invoice, and what you do at each one.
In short
You get a price online and send a request; no payment is taken at that point. We confirm within 24 hours on working days, offering your shifts only to workers whose right to work is checked. Each week you approve the hours in your client portal, and the invoice is built from those approved hours only.
Step by step
- You
See your price
Choose the service, the number of staff, hours per day, days per week, number of weeks and the start date. The calculator shows the rate, the total and the VAT straight away.
The rate depends on how soon you start, how long you book and the weekly hours per worker. See pricing.
- You
Send your request
Add your company, name, work email and site postcode, then send it. It takes about two minutes. No payment is taken.
You go straight to your request page. Keep the link: it shows the status, the price including VAT and, once confirmed, the first names of your staff. We email you the link straight away, and email you again when your staff are confirmed.
- Us
We find your staff
We pick workers near your site and offer them the shifts. A shift can only be offered to a worker whose right-to-work evidence is on file, and we check it again when they accept.
- Us
Confirmation within 24 hours on working days
Working days are Monday to Saturday, not counting bank holidays in England and Wales. When enough workers accept, your request page changes to “Staff confirmed”.
If we have not confirmed in that time, we email you an update. If we cannot cover the request, we tell you by email and you are not charged anything.
- You
Sign the Hirer Terms
Before the first shift you sign our Hirer Terms of Business. They set out the charges, timesheets, payment and how a booking ends.
We then email you a booking confirmation with your signed Hirer Terms attached. A copy also stays under Contracts in your client portal.
- Both
Your staff start
Staff can start from 48 hours. Workers clock in and out on their phone, and you can see who is expected, on site and finished on the Today board in your portal. More on shifts.
- You
Approve the hours each week
Each timesheet covers Monday to Sunday. Approve the hours in your portal, or flag a timesheet with a note if something is wrong. Only approved hours are invoiced.
If you have not approved or flagged a timesheet within 48 hours, the hours are treated as accepted under clause 4.3 of the Hirer Terms.

Invoice and payment
Invoices are issued weekly, by Wednesday, for the previous Monday-to-Sunday week. Each one lists the approved hours, the rate, VAT and the total, with our bank details.
Payment is due by the date printed on the invoice, by bank transfer, using the invoice number as the reference. More on invoices and payment.
